The news of the missing Titanic submarine has captivated the world, and people globally are hoping for the safe return of the five individuals on board. Unfortunately, the chances of their survival are slim, and it is likely that, by the time you read this article, their oxygen supply has run out, leaving them trapped inside the submerged vessel. Many questions have arisen surrounding this tragic situation, including inquiries about the controller used to operate the submarine. Was an actual PlayStation-like controller used to navigate the missing Titanic submarine? In this article, we will uncover the truth behind this claim.

The Reality of the Missing Titanic Submarine Operator

Contrary to what some may believe, it is true that the submersible was indeed controlled using a remote controller. This revelation shocked many, as it seemed unconventional to conduct such a serious expedition with a gaming controller. However, considering the significant attention this situation has garnered, there is a possibility that misinformation may also be circulating. Let us delve further into this matter.

Confirming the Controller Usage

The news regarding the controller is not fabricated—it is genuinely astonishing, but the entire submarine was operated using a single remote controller.

Naturally, people are questioning the rationale behind this decision. Why was a gaming controller chosen to pilot a submarine that was intended to explore the depths of the ocean?

The individuals inside the sealed submarine were responsible for manoeuvring the submersible based on instructions received from the crew. Unfortunately, the crew lost contact with those inside the submarine a long time ago, which further heightened the distress surrounding the situation. Millions of people anxiously await their safe return, but the prospects seem bleak.

Insights into the Controller

The usage of a gamepad controller has led many to ridicule the situation, as they believe it is imprudent to utilize such a seemingly trivial device to navigate a vessel in the treacherous depths of the ocean. However, it may surprise you to know that various vehicles have been controlled using similar controllers, albeit with different modifications.

To be specific, OceanGate employed a Logitech G F710 controller, which is available for purchase on Amazon for $30.

A video featuring Stockton Rush, the CEO of OceanGate Expeditions, went viral as he introduced the submersible to the public, explaining that a single controller was responsible for steering the entire vessel. This suggests that the team may have adapted and customized the controller to suit their needs. Therefore, any claims suggesting that the controller was the cause of the lost connection are premature. Until the root cause of the issue is determined, it is not ethical to engage in a blame game.

The submersible was equipped with a porthole window and a single toilet, serving as a restroom. It measured 6.7 meters in length and could accommodate only five people. Its maximum diving depth was 4,000 meters, and it carried sufficient oxygen for a couple of days. It is important to note that a submersible operates differently from a submarine, as it requires an additional vessel for launch and recovery from the ocean.

The five individuals on board each paid a significant sum to embark on this unique exploration of the Titanic wreckage. They were affluent individuals seeking extraordinary experiences. Opening the vessel from the inside was impossible since it was securely sealed with bolts before submerging. This measure was taken to ensure safety.

Given the limited resources and unsuccessful recovery efforts, we must accept the grim reality that all five passengers have likely perished. Only an extraordinary intervention would be capable of rescuing them from the ocean alive.

This covers the essential information about the controller used in the unfortunate Titanic submarine incident. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims during this difficult time. For more updates, remember to bookmark this page.
