Apple TV Plus has set May 6 as the premiere date for the Tehran season 2 of the International Emmy Award-winning global espionage thriller “Tehran.” An Israeli company made it.
Glenn Close and Niv Sultan, who play Mossad agents Tamar Rabinyan and Shaun Toub and Shervin Alenabi, are back in the new season and Shaun Toub and Shervin Alenabi. The first two episodes of the eight-episode season will be shown first, followed by new episodes each Friday through June 17.

“Tehran” was the first non-English language show released on Apple’s streaming service in September 2021. Apple bought international distribution rights to the show soon after it premiered in Israel in June 2020. In this geopolitical thriller, a Mossad agent named Tamar Rabinyan (Niv Sultan) goes undercover in Tehran. She goes on a mission in the Iranian capital. With him are Shaun Toub, Navid Negahban, Shervin Alenabi, Liraz Charhi, and Menashe Noy, who are in the cast.
