Hamish Harding Goes Missing
Thanks to his huge fortune, Hamish Harding has gone on several adventures, which include going into the deepest point in the ocean, travelling in the Blue Origin flight to space, and circumnavigating the earth. This time, he paid $250,000 to travel via OceanGate to the remains of the Titanic. OceanGate is the name of the company that sent people to look at the remains of the Titanic in submersibles without any training. Unfortunately, one of its submersibles was lost on the trip with five passengers inside it and no contact with the mothership. The passengers include Hamish Harding along with OceanGate Expeditions CEO Stockton Rush, British Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood, and French Titanic expert Paul-Henri Nargeole.
The submersible went missing on Sunday just after approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes into the dive in the Atlantic Ocean. Since then, a rescue mission has begun to save the five passengers in it. Moreover, according to the BBC, the passengers in the submersible can only survive until Thursday, June 22. This is because the oxygen in it is expected to run out around 6:00 a.m. EST on that day.
