The Amazing Digital Circus is taking a big step from the internet to the big screen. Glitch Productions and Fathom Entertainment have announced that The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act will release in U.S. theaters from June 4 to June 7, 2026. Rather than simply releasing the ending as another episode, Glitch and Fathom are turning it into a limited theatrical event. Tickets are already available.
But the real highlight is what the audience will see. The Last Act isn’t a standalone spin-off or a recap. It runs for 93 minutes and combines Episode 8 with Episode 9, which is a brand-new, hour-long finale that fans can watch in theaters first. So, the show isn’t just ending, it’s getting a full big-screen finale before it wraps up online.
A Popular Web Series Is Getting a Theatrical Release

For a series that began online, the theatrical rollout is a big step, not just a normal release. Fathom Entertainment says The Amazing Digital Circus has crossed 1 billion views since it first came out in 2023. The company also says the series was one of Netflix’s top 5 most-viewed shows globally in the first two weeks of October 2024. It clearly shows the series has grown beyond being just an online favorite.
This kind of reach helps explain why Glitch and Fathom are treating the finale like an event rather than a routine release. Fathom CEO Ray Nutt said the company sees the show’s fanbase as one that is actively waiting for the conclusion. Glitch CEO Kevin Lerdwichagul framed the partnership as another sign that independent animation can build massive audiences outside the traditional studio system.
What The Finale Is Actually About
Fathom Entertainment’s official synopsis makes it clear that the finale is not moving away from the series’s darker side. With Caine gone and the circus thrown into chaos, the remaining characters have to face the trauma and mistakes they’ve been avoiding. When they realize they might be stuck there forever, they begin to figure out what the Digital Circus really is and its history, leading to a more complete ending.
This premise also explains why the runtime matters. By combining Episode 8 with a full hour-long Episode 9, Glitch Productions gives the story enough space to breathe instead of rushing through it. Because the show mixes comedy with darker themes, it needs extra time for the ending.
Why This Release Is Different From The Others
It’s not that unusual now for anime or big TV shows to get short theater runs, but The Amazing Digital Circus didn’t come from that world. It started online as a creator-driven internet animation success story and built its audience there. Now the team is counting on those same fans to actually show up in theaters instead of just waiting to watch it later at home. That’s a pretty big test of how far an internet show can go when people are genuinely interested in it.
The team is also treating the event as the worldwide premiere of the finale. Because of this, fans may feel they should watch it right away instead of waiting for it to come online later. Also, it’s only playing for a short time, June 4-7, which makes it more special and exclusive.
For Glitch Productions, this is a very big thing. A studio that started in a garage and built its audience on the internet is now sending one of its biggest projects into theaters nationwide through Fathom. Whether or not The Last Act becomes a major box office success, the release already says that the gap between “internet hit” and “theatrical event” is smaller than it used to be.
And for fans, The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act will play in U.S. theaters for four days in June. It has a runtime of 1 hour and 33 minutes and includes Episode 8 along with the brand-new final chapter that brings the story to an end.
