After the premiere of Lucifer’s 5th season, Netflix announced that the show wouldn’t have any more seasons. The devastating news caused a lot of uproar on social media, but in some time, it eventually died.
The fans were again caught off guard when Netflix announced the Lucifer Season 6. This renewal news resurrected the fandom from the deepest pits of hell (pun intended)! But now the question arises what the 6th installment will entail?
The fifth season did not end the story properly. There was a major cliffhanger in the finale, so a 6th installment was inevitable. Most likely, Netflix realized that fans deserve a better ending to their favorite devil show, which led to the renewal news.

Lucifer Season 6 Release Date
During Comic-Con@Home 2021, it was announced that the 6th installment of Lucifer would premiere on 10th September 2021. This announcement also revealed a short teaser that showed Lucifer claiming that this will be his last night in LA. He surely is one busy God!
The last season will consist of 10 episodes which are 6 episodes less than the preceding installment. All episodes will drop simultaneously, so good news because you can binge-watch the entire season in one sitting! Here is the list of all episodes:

The cast of Lucifer Season 6
As the story will be told in continuity, it is safe to assume that most of the main cast will reprise their old respective roles.
One thing is for sure that Tom Ellis will star in the upcoming season, either as Lucifer or as the new God. Our bet is on the latter! Along with him, Chloe (played by Lauren German) will also feature in the 6th season. But what about the rest of the cast members?
As Dan died due to Michael’s evil plans, fans wonder that he won’t be a part of the upcoming season. But this is not true because the actor who plays him confirmed in an interview that writers found a way to get his character back into the storyline. How? We don’t know about that yet. Maybe it will remain a mystery until September!

What is the plot of Lucifer’s sixth season about?
A lot happened in the 5th season. Lucifer had to fight off his evil twin and fill in the space of God after his father gave up the duties! The poor devil also had to save the love of his life, Chloe, from dying. Season 5 was inarguably one of the most tiring seasons for Lucifer.
But as said before, the writers did not end the show properly. Major chunks of the series were left unanswered. Most likely, the cliffhangers will be explained in the upcoming 6th installment!
Henderson confirmed that the new batch of episodes would be set in the future; there will be a time jump! The story will show “what happens after ever-after” because most of the characters got what they wanted in the 5th season but will they be satisfied with it? Or will they wish to go back? Guess we’ll have to wait till the show premiers!
