Jennifer Butler worked hard to make a name for herself in the industry. She worked as a costume designer on many famous projects. Some of her most notable projects include; “Groundhog Day,” “Firestarter,” and “The Last of the Mohicans.”
Her cause of death still remains a mystery as sources close to Butler never made her cause of death a matter for the public to discuss. Even though she thrived in her business, the complications in her personal life took a toll on her. Her marriage with Murray started off as a fairytale but it did not end up on good terms.

Jennifer Butler was not the first wife of Bill Murray. He was previously married to Angela Kelly. However, he left her after he had an affair with Butler. They tied the knot in 1997 (just a year after Murray left Kelly).
However, this marriage did not have a happy ending. Butler and Murray called it off more than a decade. They have 4 sons together; Caleb, now 30, Jackson, now 27, Cooper, now 26, and 22-year-old Lincoln. There is a very interesting story behind how the couple first met each other. Reportedly, they crossed paths on the set of ‘Scrooged’. She was working on the movie as the costume designer.
Jennifer Butler’s marriage with Bill Murray was a tough one. After she filed for divorce in May 2008, she accused Murray of heinous crimes. These allegations included; abandonment, physical abuse, adultery, and drug addiction. Butler issued all relevant evidence. She even mentioned how Murray threatened her by saying that she was lucky as Murray let her live. Because of the seriousness of the matter, she even requested a restraining order against him as his behaviour was quite dangerous.
Shortly after this the case was finalized and the divorce was approved. Butler won the primary custody of 4 of her sons. And was allowed to keep two of the homes.
