Zootopia 2 All Set To Premiere On Disney+ After Theatrical Release

Zootopia 2 has quickly become one of the most talked-about animated sequels and one of the highly anticipated releases on OTT. Fans have been eagerly waiting for its streaming debut, and now it is finally here!

When And Where Will Zootopia 2 Release?

After running for 15 weekends in theatres, the buddy-cop animated film will be available to stream on Disney+ starting March 11, 2026.

Zootopia 2 Story

Zootopia 2, the sequel to the 2016 film Zootopia, takes viewers back to the busy animal city. Rabbit police officer Judy Hopps teams up again with con artist fox Nick Wilde, and together, they investigate a secret reptile population in the city after the mysterious pit viper Gary De’Snake arrives.

While Judy Hopps is voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin, Nick Wilde is voiced by Jason Bateman and Gary De’Snake is voiced by Ke Huy Quan. The second instalment also introduces new characters, including Nibbles Maplestick (Fortune Feimster), and members of Lynxley family: Pawbert Lynxley (Andy Samberg), Milton Lynxley (David Strathairn), Cattrick Lynxley (Macaulay Culkin) and Kitt Lynxley (Brenda Song). Other new characters include Robert Furwin (Robert Irwin), Dr. Fuzzby (Quinta Brunson) and Mayor Winddancer (Patrick Warburton).

Directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ multi-record-breaking film went on to earn $1.85 billion worldwide.

In the US, the film earned $425.9 million, and recently, It became one of the biggest films of 2025” or “the top domestic release of 2025. It is also the fifth film from Walt Disney Animation Studios to cross $1 billion worldwide.

The animated sequel also made history in its opening weekend, becoming the fourth-biggest global opening of all time. It also achieved the largest worldwide opening for an animated movie and the highest opening for an animated sequel.

Recently, Zootopia 2 won the BAFTA Award for Best Animated Film and is also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
