Finally, the long wait for fans of Ted Lasso is almost over! Starring and executive produced by Jason Sudeikis, The fourth season is officially set for summer 2026, with Hannah Waddingham recently suggesting August as a possible release month.
The key member of the series, Hannah Waddingham, has teased this update while speaking with Deadline during a recent red carpet appearance at the BAFTA Film Awards on Sunday, (February 22, 2026).

Talking about the upcoming season, the actress was quoted by the media outlet, “It’s a whole different deal with our Lady Greyhounds. I can’t wait for everyone to see what they’ve come up with.” When asked about the timing, she said, “I think August,” before turning to the side and asking, “Am I allowed to say August?” But then she cautiously added, “What if I’m wrong?” After appearing to reveal the month, she added, “I think it’s August.”

In Season 4, which is set to premiere in the summer, Ted Lasso (played by Jason Sudeikis) is back in Richmond to face his biggest challenge so far, i.e., coaching a second division women’s football team.
Hannah Talks About Her Character In Ted Lasso Season 4
Deadline reported that Jason Sudeikis may have a broader multi-season arc in mind, similar to the three-season structure used for Ted’s time coaching Richmond’s men’s team. Currently, the series has only been officially confirmed through season 4, but Hannah is eager to continue for future seasons.
The actress said that she loves her character, which is well-written, adding, “I’d do it until I’m walking on a Zimmer frame when I’m 80. Jason Sudeikis and the writers room, it’s like a finely tuned machine. And the life lessons that you realize that they’re just tipping in here and there, it’s brilliant.” (sic)
She also described her character as both strong and confident, yet vulnerable. Hannah said, “That’s what it’s given me that I had never had in anything else, the chance, even if you’re a six-foot-two woman in heels, of course, there is the soft side, there’s a vulnerability, they are as easily shatterable. They gave me that, and I’ll be forever grateful.” (sic)
Ted Lasso Season 4 Cast Members
Season 4 is currently in production in London. Along with Hannah, the original cast members – Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, Juno Temple and Jeremy Swift – will be reprising their original roles. New additions for this season include Tanya Reynolds, Faye Marsay, Aisling Sharkey, Jude Mack, Abbie Hern, Rex Hayes and Grant Feely.
