What is the Plot?
The story takes place two thousand years after a war between humans and demons in a fantasy world inhabited by monsters and other creatures. Demon king Anos Voldigoad gives his life to ensure the safety of lesser lings. Still, upon his return, he discovers that the demon race has declined in power and that they now have to prove themselves in an academy. He enrolls at this school even though he does not belong there because he’s a demon. Season 2 of The Misfits of the Demon King’s Academy will continue from this point.
Volumes 1–3 of The Misfit of Demon King Academy have been adapted so far in the anime. Season 2 will presumably adjust volume 4 of the light novel series, which features Anos’s reappointment as Demon Lord. But new foes will emerge from within the Demon Academy itself.
