Simo Education 2021 Will Focus On Innovation And Good Practices

The next edition of Simo Educación, which will be held under the slogan ‘We go back to school’ from November 2 to 4 at Ifema Madrid, takes another step in the organization of this call, which will be the first point of face-to-face reunion with the community education after the pandemic, and an opportunity for interaction between companies and professionals in the teaching activity, informed Ifema Madrid in a statement.

An appointment that is already advancing in its multiple contents to focus on innovation , on the most effective technological tools and on all those experiences and good practices that are examples of success, in a format especially focused on relearning in a shared way.

This is how it has recently been presented to its Organizing Committee, made up of different representatives of leading technology institutions and companies, publishing groups, technology distributors, and entities from the world of education, among which are, respectively, Hewlett Packard Española; INTEF, National Institute of Educational Technologies and Teacher Training, of the Ministry of Education and Professional Training; Educating; Samsung Electronics Iberia, the Madri + d Knowledge Foundation, Intel Corporation Iberia; Microsoft Iberica; Promethean Iberia; Fundación Santa María, Editorial SM, and Santillana Educación.

Simo Educación also offered details of its new digital platform LIVEConnect, which is emerging as the largest virtual community and professional network for the Innovation and Educational Technology sector.

A communication channel that complements face-to-face participation and that will contribute to broadening information exchange opportunities, generating networking and enriching the network of contacts beyond the Simo Education dates.

Lectures in the auditorium of Simo Education
As an advance, and together with activity in the exhibition area, the conference program of the Simo Educación Auditorium, organized in collaboration with Educación 3.0. will offer the opportunity to know the results of the study ‘Education in Spain during the COVID-19 pandemic: a European view’, carried out by the Joint Research Center of the European Commission, Luxembourg 2021.

Its leaders, Fernando Trujillo, Jonatan Castaño and Romina Cachia, will talk about how the health situation has affected the work of teachers and students and what lessons can be learned for the future, among other topics.

Chema Lázaro, an expert in neuropsychology, will present the presentation ‘Possibilities of neurodidactics’, in which he will expose one of the great challenges of education: to be able to measure, quantify the effect of educational proposals, in addition to personalizing learning, rhythms, motivations , student interests.

In ‘My teacher is geek’, Ramón Rodríguez Galán, teacher and ICT coordinator, will offer a presentation in which he will talk about what happens when the teacher shares the interests of children and different and fun educational projects arise.

Affective-sexual education will also be present in this edition of the fair by the hand of Carmen Ruiz Repullo, a sociologist specializing in gender violence in adolescents and young people.

Also participating as speakers will be Héctor Ruiz, neurobiologist and expert in cognitive psychology with his conference ‘Evidence-based teaching and learning’, and Carlos Magro, president of the Open Education Association. In addition, the auditorium will host the directors’ day in which the INTEF will present the Center’s Digital Plan in detail.

Teacher training
Once again, the practical workshops of Simo Educación will offer teacher training, which will again have the INTEF certification, of great value for the day-to-day in the classroom. María Batet, trainer in creative skills and graphic facilitator, will be in charge of ‘Visual Thinking for educators.

“Visual tools for learning”; Jorge Calvo Martín, advisor and trainer in Educational Technology of the European Valley will speak about ‘Digital Health. Taking care of yourself digitally is the goal ‘; Raquel González, Language and Literature teacher at IES Cartima, Málaga, will offer the workshop ‘Oralidad en la Escuela. Didactic and practical itinerary from Infant to High School ‘.

Other workshops will train teachers in gamification, reading promotion, and motivational techniques to excite students to develop learning.
